HGV Class 1 Night Driver

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in compliance with all road traffic laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly, ensuring the delivery of goods to various locations
  • Complete daily vehicle checks before departure, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the Transport Manager.
  • Ensure goods are loaded and unloaded securely and safely, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and other required documentation, such as delivery notes and inspection logs.
  • Follow routes provided and notify the office of any potential delays or issues on the road.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle at all times.
  • Assist with occasional yard duties and warehouse support as required.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence (C+E).
  • Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in HGV driving, preferably in a similar environment.
  • A positive and professional attitude, with a commitment to safe driving practices and customer service.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts as required.
